What kinds of small internal automation projects have members been building or planning?

One member described starting a practice of blocking two hours a week specifically for automation work, and keeping a running list every time a manual task comes up so it can be queued for automation later. Examples on that list included: a tool to reduce back-and-forth questions from a VA doing personal bookkeeping (since personal transactions can vary widely and require lots of clarifying questions), a forecasting app, an email digest tool (built as an HTML script that scrapes the inbox, summarizes emails onto one page for quick scanning, and supports mass deleting), and a task management app. The suggestion offered in response was that starting a simple list and blocking small amounts of time regularly is a good baby step toward building a more automated practice.
