What does the Claude Chrome extension do, and is it safe to use with client data?

22:59From the June 2 call · Beginner Lab: Claude Basics, Custom GPTs, and Practice Wins

The Claude Chrome extension lets Claude take control of your browser to perform actions on the internet — you'll see your mouse moving as it goes, and it asks for approval before acting. One member uses it for tasks they trust it with, like posting a website live, and described using it as a delegation tool so they can work on other tabs while Claude handles something else (e.g., data entry or sending templated emails). However, another member (Jason S.) warned that this feature can go 'rogue' and is still in beta, so client work should not be done with it yet — caution was advised.
