What are Skills in Claude and how could they be used for tax planning?

Skills let you give Claude a set of repetitive, strict instructions to follow for a given task, either using pre-built skills or creating your own. In a chat, you can select a skill from a dropdown and tell Claude to use it for that request. As an example, for tax planning you could write a skill instructing Claude to only reference the IRS code (rather than the whole internet) when doing research and comparisons for a tax plan.
