How can AI tools like Claude help a firm owner think through reducing hours, semi-retirement, or reimagining their firm's structure?

Rather than treating retirement or scaling back as all-or-nothing, one suggestion was to reduce the number of clients or hours worked (e.g., working fewer hours in slower seasons) while still keeping a hand in the business, rather than going to zero. Another member described having Claude draft an entire business plan around 'reimagining' their firm - not necessarily selling early, but restructuring toward fewer, higher-margin, high-touch clients (e.g., aiming for around 20 ideal clients) and using AI/automation to replace roles like a reviewer or prep person, potentially increasing take-home pay without adding years of work. One member also mentioned using Claude as a sounding board for the more existential question of 'what's my purpose if I'm not a firm owner anymore.'
