One member uses Blue J for research and still maintains a ChatGPT subscription, sometimes running the same query through both Claude and ChatGPT to compare answers — noting Blue J is consistently reliable for research. It was also noted that many accounting software platforms are embedding AI directly, such as Keeper (now called Double), which integrates with QuickBooks and can, for example, take a mortgage statement and automatically write and push the journal entry into QuickBooks. This kind of embedded tool is more relevant for firms with a high volume of bookkeeping clients rather than a single company's books.
