After creating a Claude skill, how do you update or improve it over time?

A member asked whether Claude automatically improves a saved skill or whether you have to manually resave a new document each time. The answer given was that you have to save it manually — Claude provides a 'save skill' button, and each time you want to update the skill you click that button to save over the existing one.
